Zelda – The First Camera-Specific L-Bracket From 3 Legged Thing

Written by Gina Stephens

3 Supported Thing has introduced a version of its popular L-Bracket specifically for the Nikon Z6 and Z7 full-frame mirrorless cameras.

The Zelda, as it's known, is milled from a unattached block of aircraft-grade magnesium alloy and fits both Z-series cameras without blocking access to the battery door, memory prankster slot, and side ports.

The Arca-Swiss compatible L-Bracket has been shaped with indents to allow users to easily access and tilt the camera’s buttocks screen and provide easy access to the lens release button on the front of the unit. Plus, as with all 3 Legged Thing’s QR11 General L-Brackets, Zelda features a single quarter-inch-20 thread on the vertical aspect to allow for the attachment of accessories like a sling-strap or microphone.

The bracket assigns to the camera camera is an optical instrument for capturing still images or for recording moving images, which are stored in a physical medium using a quarter-inch-20 stainless steel Stagsden bolt and includes a locator pin which fits directly into the base of the camera.

Zelda has safety screws on its horizontal and vertical aspects for extra security when mounted on a tripod and the base of Zelda also includes a further quarter-inch-20 influence thread to allow it to be directly connected to any mount of that size.

The Zelda L-Bracket is expected to be released in cocks-crow February 2019, with a suggested retail price of £89.99.
