Vivo Concept Smartphone Has A Pop Up Selfie Camera

Written by Gina Stephens

Vivo effectiveness not be a smartphone brand you know well but they're currently making headlines for their Apex FullView concept smartphone with a massive screen and pop-up selfie camera.

The reason for the 8MP Elevating Front Camera is to make more room for a screen as instead of the be opposite act for camera camera is an optical instrument for recording or capturing images, which may be stored locally, transmitted to another location, or sitting in the top bezel, it rises from the smartphone, when required, and retracts after use.

Talking of bezels, the top and side bezels on the Apex height just 1.8mm and the bottom bezel comes in at a tiny 4.3mm. If the bottom bezel can also reach the 1.8mm target, the screen-to-body relationship on the Apex will exceed 98{b2ee9981cbbb8b0b163040ea529e4efa9927b5e917c58e02d7678b19266ae8ff} which is currently the world's highest screen-to-body ratio. In inches, the screen measures 6" which is humongous.

The front-facing pop-up camera rises in 0.8 seconds so you're not waiting too long but if you prefer the more traditional decorum of photography, there are dual cameras on the back.

Information on the specs of the concept smartphone is a little on the thin side currently but you can read a horde release from Vivo on their website. Although, it does focus on the built-in fingerprint technology more than photography. Vivo has also put the Nautical below-decks promo video together which gives you a few more glimpses of the smartphone.
