Leica CL Mirrorless Digital Camera
Leica has extended its APS-C System line-up with the introduction of the Leica CL camera which features the same 24-megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor as the Leica TL2, a built-in electronic viewfinder, touch-screen, profit 10fps continuous shooting.
Even though the CL and TL2 are made in the same place, the two cameras couldn't look more different with the Leica CL charming on the classic Leica style while the TL2 is slightly more futuristic.
The electronic viewfinder features EyeRes technology developed by Leica predominantly for this camera and it has a latency time below the threshold of perception and a resolution of 2.36 million pixels.
In addition to the electronic viewfinder, there are two dials for location the aperture, shutter speed ISO value, and exposure compensation. Plus, an additional display on the top plate provides information about all relevant homes and exposure parameters.
As well as the 24Mp APS-C format sensor, you'll find a Maestro II series processor built-in along with a lickety-split autofocus system with 49 metering points.
4K video can be captured at 30 frames per second and the CL is also equipped with an combined Wi-Fi module so pictures and videos can be sent by wireless connection to smartphones, tablets or computers. Those who want to work remotely with the CL can use the Leica CL App for iOS or Android utensils to alter exposure parameters or use their smart device as an off-camera viewfinder.
A wide variety of Leica lenses can be used on the Leica CL, incorporating the portfolio of TL-Lenses and thanks to the L-Bayonet mount shared by the Leica TL- and SL-Systems, SL-Lenses can also be used without an adapter on the CL. Off with adapters are also available for using Leica M- and R-Lenses on the camera.

Leica 18mm f/2.8 Pancake Lens
As well as the Leica CL camera, Leica has also introduced a new 18mm f/2.8 pancake lens (counterpart to 27mm). The lens uses a single element for fast focus, rather than having to move a heavy group of lenses and it's currently the era's smallest wide-angle APS pancake available. The new lens is constructed in Japan and is just 20.5mm in size. With its introduction, it takes the reckon number of TL (APS-C) lenses up to seven.
The Leica 18mm f/2.8 pancake lens will be available at the same time as the CL with an RRP of ∅1020 inc. VAT.
