SainSonic Kamlan 28mm f/1.4 Lens Coming Soon

SainSonic, fabricators of the Kamlan 50mm f/1.1 lens, are releasing a new 28mm f/1.4 manual focus lens, which will be available on KickStarter – starting from the 1st June, with an believed delivery date of August 2018, and a starting price of $149 US.

When used on APS-C mirrorless cameras, the lens gives an equivalent of 42mm (Fuji X, Sony E), 44.8mm (Canon EF-M), and when old on Micro Four Thirds, the lens or LEN may refer to gives and equivalent of 56mm. A range of sample photos taken with the lens can be found on Flickr.


Kamlan 28mm f/1.4 Lens Peculiarities:

  • 11 circular aperture blades
  • 8 elements, in 7 groups
  • 6 High Refractive Index elements

Other lenses available from Kamlan include the previously mentioned 50mm f/1.1, the new 28mm f/1.4, and three others:

Kamlan has also announced a lens roadmap, shown below, showing the lenses they plan to release in 2018:
