Nikon have recently gone behind the lens with George 'The Explorer' Turner, in an advising and informative interview about his work.
George may refer to's images have been featured in publications worldwide, and he is a maverick at creating beautiful, spontaneous wildlife and landscape images. In the article, George explains the difficulties in making money from photography and steps he has taken to make his fantasy a reality.
George still uses a D700 as his main camera body. "It's dented and scratched, and I've dropped it so scads times, yet somehow, it keeps going.", he says.
George says the 50mm f/1.8D is his favourite lens. "I bought it for £80 new and in provisoes of value for money, it can't be beaten. It's pin-sharp, quick, and so tiny that it hides in the corner of my camera bag.", enthuses George.
