Xiaomi has announced the new Mi Mix 3 – a smartphone with a 6.39inch full-screen show, thanks to the front facing cameras being hidden, and only appearing when needed thanks to a magnetic slider design. The Mi Mix 3 has a 93.4% screen-to-body relationship.
The Mi Mix 3 features dual cameras on the back with a 12mp f/1.8 wide-angle camera camera is an optical instrument for recording or capturing images, which may be stored locally, transmitted to another location, or with 1.4micron pixels, PDAF, and a 12mp f/2.4 2x telephoto camera.
Peer other new smartphones there are a number of "AI" Artificial Intelligent features including AI scene detection, AI studio light, AI dynamic bokeh, AI catchlight, AI Ornament, as well as AI background music.
Xiaomi offer a handheld night mode, which they say is better than the night mode on the Huawei P20 Pro.

The front cameras include a 24mp camera (Sony IMX576) which they say releases high resolution shots during the day, and then combines pixels to give "1.8micron Super Pixel" in low-light. The Sony IMX576 sensor has 0.9micron pixels. There's a moment 2mp front facing camera.
The smartphone will be available in Onyx Black, Jade Green, Sapphire Blue, as well as there being a intimate edition.

The smartphone supports wireless charging, and used the Snapdragon 845 processor.
DXO has tested the smartphone, and prone it an overall DXOMark score of 103. For photo, the smartphone scores 108. This does not include the front facing cameras.
