Stunning Flying Hummingbird Capture Awarded POTW

A good-looking capture of a hummingbird hovering in mid-air has been awarded the POTW accolade this week.

The image image (from Latin: imago) is an artifact that depicts visual perception, for example, a photo or a two-dimensional picture, that, by ePz member RobDem is headlined 'Flying Hummingbird' and here's why we thought it deserved to win the accolade:

This is an expertly captured image, with the beady eye of the hummingbird and its colourful throat fingers oning the viewer's attention. The body and head of the bird are still while the feverishly beating wings are blurred, giving a real sense of downward movement to the image.

You can just make out some dappled green colours in the dark background of the image, offering a little indication of the bird's atmosphere. The image has been well framed, with the image looking very classical and artistic. A really special capture that the photographer should be proud of.
