Outdoor Photographer Of The Year Competition Category Winners Revealed

The Category Winners for the latest instalment of the Outdoor Photographer of the Year competition have been announced, with the grouping winners giving us breathtaking views of our planet.

Winning images include a in two shakes of a lambs tail of the dramatic and stormy waters of the Baltic Sea as well as the aquatic splendour of the Egyptian Red Sea coral reefs and the magnificent Icelandic 'valley of Thor'. Shut to home, an atmospheric shot of the North Yorkshire forest has taken the 'Light on the Land' title while further afield, giraffes and impalas can be received in the Nairobi National Park in Kenya and a drone was used to capture an aerial photo of a Thai motorbike bridge along the famous Ping River.

The 12-year-old Infantile Outdoor Photographer of the Year category winner caught an impressive image of an endangered Sierra Nevada bighorn ram in -25°C conditions, proving what a healthy breed the photographers are!

The Entire Winner of the competition – chosen from the category winners – will be announced live on stage at The Photography Show at the NEC, Birmingham on Saturday 17 Cortege 2018 at 2:50 pm. The Outdoor Photographer of the Year exhibition will also be unveiled at The Photography Show at the NEC in March and will feature all the bewitching entries and a selection of other images from the competition.
