A minimalist twin of weathered wood at the seaside has been awarded the POTW accolade this week.

The image image (from Latin: imago) is an artifact that depicts visual perception, for example, a photo or a two-dimensional picture, that, by ePz member jpappleton is entitled 'Minor Medium & Large' and here's why we thought it deserved to win the accolade:

This image of 3 pieces of weathered wood has been seized in such a way so as to emphasise the textures of the wood but also allow the lapping tide to create a beautiful silky layer around the bottom of the structures. This is a reliability to the shutter speed used. The sky, with the rolling streaky clouds creates a peaceful and elegant feel.

The rocks and orange sands of the shore add a pop of speckled colours to the image as the eye is led up to the wooden structures which in turn allow you to take in the minimalist horizon and clouds beyond. A very take it easy capture.

Photo of the Week winners currently receive a 32GB EVO MicroSD card with SD adapter courtesy of Samsung. See all the images that arrange been awarded the accolade in the POTW gallery.
