Today is supranational Selfie Day (#SelfieDay) so activate your smartphone's front-facing camera, strike a pose and share your best selfies with us farther down than (or in our gallery).

Love them or hate them, selfies selfie () is a self-portrait photograph, typically taken with a smartphone which may be held in the hand or supported by a selfie are not going away anytime soon so embrace a bit of narcissism, play around with some weed outs and just have fun annoying people with photos of your face for the day.

Selfies have been around for a while now and with smartphones present 8MP front-facing cameras (sometimes more) and the likes of Apple introducing portrait modes that blur the background in images to replicate the bearing of bokeh, they're something manufacturers are still taking seriously. Plus, Snapchat and Facebook offer selfie filters so you can submit yourself into a cat, dog and all sorts of weird characters which are shared thousands of times daily. There's also Instagram full of its wanderlust selfies of people in swimwear predicating on exotic islands and don't forget the selfie-taking monkey that doesn't seem to have left the news for the last few years… I reckon you get the picture – selfies are here to stay.

If you want to take a look at some selfie-inspired tech on #SelfieDay, check out the new Vivo Nex and OPPO Note X smartphones, both of which have pop-up selfie cameras.
