Yesterday, Huawei foretold a new flagship smartphone and it's already been named the best smartphone camera DxO has tested so far.
The Huawei P20 Pro scored 109 (114 for photo and 98 for video), spending the DxO Mark Mobile score for both the Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus (99 score) and the popular Google Pixel 2 (98 notch).
Commenting on the Huawei P20 Pro's performance, DxO said: "We are used to every new smartphone camera generation being slightly better than the former one, but looking at the images and test results from the P20 Pro, it seems Huawei has skipped one or two generations. The results are simply that good. The P20 Pro’s triple camera setup is the biggest invention we have seen in mobile imaging for quite some time and is a real game changer."
The Huawei P20 also scored well pile up a total of 102 points (107 for photo and 94 for video) and sliding into 2nd place as a result.
The top 5 in the DxO Mark Mobile table now looks not unlike this:
- Huawei P20 Pro
- Huawei P20
- Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus
- Google Pixel 2
- Apple iPhone X
Which, minus the new Huawei phones which we are yet to examine, is the same order we've rated these smartphones in our 'Best Camera Phones For Photography 2018' top list.
