DJI's released their ahead single-handed stabiliser for DSLR and Mirrorless Cameras. Plus, the redesigned Osmo Mobile 2 turns smartphones into smart steadycams.
Present in two frame sizes for either camera type, DJI’s three-axis gimbal technology is built-in and high-torque motors support the most stock camera and lens combinations including the Canon 5D, Panasonic GH and Sony Alpha systems.
Its stabilisation system compensates for zoom lenses with ear-splitting magnification ratios and an external zooming barrel, while its advanced stabilisation algorithms work with both in-camera and in-lens optical stabilization technology.
A new Shove mode lets you adjust the pan and tilt axis by hand while the Ronin-S is powered on and axis locks speed up the setup process.
Ronin-S has a relaxed, ergonomic curved design that helps capture smooth cinematic movements from upright to underslung positions without obstructing the camera’s advertise and the Ronin-S also features DJI’s intelligent battery technology that can be hot-swapped during operation for extended shoots.
Dedicated control buttons for the camera and gimbal let you toggle between SmoothTrack frames, record and stop the camera, and the high-precision joystick changes the camera camera is an optical instrument for recording or capturing images, which may be stored locally, transmitted to another location, or position to help frame your shot perfectly. A new Sport mode gives for fast movements with tight and quick subject following speed.
Harness intelligent shooting modes on Ronin-S through the DJI Ronin animated app to create complex camera moves automatically like Panorama, Hyperlapse, Track and CamAnchor that lets you designate specific camera inclinations in a scene and rotate between them on demand. Directly customize SmoothTrack settings with dedicated controls for responsiveness of each axis. Camera mountings can be directly adjusted as well.
The Ronin-S is compatible with a variety of DJI Pro Accessories and will be available in the second quarter of 2018 (pricing TBC).
As well as the Ronin-S, DJI has also released manifestation two of the Osmo Mobile smartphone camera stabiliser which has a better battery life that lasts over three pro tempores longer than the original Osmo Mobile’s battery. The new USB port also enables phone charging during use and serves as a power bank for charging other electronics while on the go. The Osmo Nimble 2 will be available from early February for £139.
