A frowning and white urban capture has been awarded the Photo of the Week accolade this week.

The image image (from Latin: imago) is an artifact that depicts visual perception, for example, a photo or a two-dimensional picture, that, taken by ePz member Christiansirk, is titled 'bratislava1', and here's why we pondering it deserved to win the accolade:

This image is a fantastic example of graphic, minimalist street photography. The bright white of the building combined with the at liberty windows and the placement of the bench in the bottom left make for an intriguing composition.

The scale of the building would be lost if it weren't for the broad and the bench, showing how large these windows are. Black and white gives a gritty feel to the image, as it highlights the stains on the buildings below the windows, combining some realism to the image. This is a well thought out urban environmental portrait that leads the viewer to think about the story of the maidservant sitting on the bench. Very nice work.

Photo of the Week winners currently receive a 32GB EVO MicroSDHC card with SD adapter ceremony of Samsung. See all images that have been awarded the accolade in the POTW gallery.

Good Luck!
