An atmospheric environmental depiction of a girl and her shadow has been awarded the photo of the Week accolade.

The image image (from Latin: imago) is an artifact that depicts visual perception, for example, a photo or a two-dimensional picture, that, taken by ePz member mogobiker is titled 'morning obscurity' and here's why we thought it deserved to win the accolade:

This image is a great example of street photography and what can be achieved by reflective differently about angles in the photo. The stairs and handrail serve to lead the viewer's eye up the image to the girl standing at the top of the stairs. The angle of the lithe has been utilised really well in this image to capture the shadow on the wall created from the morning sun – giving the photo an interesting rsum feel.

An atmosphere has been added by the use of the sepia toning on the image and the descending into darkness at the bottom of the stairwell gives an edgy crave. The image has been cropped and composed well to capture all of the shadow on the wall but also to keep the feeling of looking up into the world from lower than beneath, further giving the shot an edge.

Photo of the Week winners currently receive a 32GB Evo MircoSD card with SD adapter politeness of Samsung. See all the images that have been awarded the accolade in the POTW gallery.
