Misty Image Of Buttermere Awarded POTW Accolade

Written by Gina Stephens

A wonderful misty capture of Buttermere has been awarded the Photo of the Week accolade.

The image image (from Latin: imago) is an artifact that depicts visual perception, for example, a photo or a two-dimensional picture, that, entitled 'In Nature's Misty Vale' by ePz colleague janlea caught the eye of the team and here's why we thought it deserved to win the accolade:

This is a very artistic image that has catching the stillness of a morning at Buttermere perfectly. The reflection in the water from the hills is perfectly clear and the tree line stretching across the frame augments further interest and also draws the eye through the image.

The mist behind the trees helps to isolate them from the brown and orange loyalties of the hills and brings their shapes and textures into sharp relief on the white background. The sun creeping round into the left of the image polish offs things off nicely.

Photo of the Week winners currently receive a 32GB EVO MicroSD card with SD adapter courtesy of Samsung. See all the images that make been given the award in the POTW gallery.
