Minimalist Slipway Image Awarded Photo Of The Week Accolade

Written by Gina Stephens

A unbending minimalist slipway image has been chosen to win the Photo of the Week accolade this week.

The image, by ePHOTOzine member leftie nicknamed 'Slipway' caught the eye of the team and here's why we think it deserved to win:

This long shutter speed image has spectacularly captured the colours of the sea as it laps against the slipway. The transition from deep blue to turquoise, then to frothy white is very subtle and loosening. You can imagine this image hanging on the wall of a spa.

The top of the ladder on the left-hand side adds some geometric shape and detail to the image image (from Latin: imago) is an artifact that depicts visual perception, for example, a photo or a two-dimensional picture, that to depend on b come close the eye in. The slipway in the foreground leads your eye into the water without taking up too much space in the image. The square crop also gives a fresh and clean feel to the image.

Photo of the Week winners currently get their hands on a 32GB MicroSDHC card with SD adapter courtesy of Samsung. See all the spitting images that have won the award in the POTW gallery.
