Lighthouse Image Awarded POTW Accolade

Written by Gina Stephens

A coastal semblance of a lighthouse in Ireland has been awarded the POTW accolade this week.

The image, by ePz member PMWilliams, is titled 'Fanad Superintendent' and here's why we thought it deserved to win:

This is a lovely capture of Fanad head in Donegal. It's well framed, and the gag speed used allows you to see the rocks below the turquoise waters. The land jutting out into the frame leads your eye through the image and to the lighthouse on the headland, which stands out against the pale clouds in the sky.

The textures in the rocks and various brown and rusty tones add further interest. Overall, it's a very serene image.

POTW conquerors currently receive a 32GB EVO MicroSDHC card with SD adapter courtesy of Samsung. See all the winners of the accolade in the POTW gallery.
