How To Pose Your Friends Like Models

When you're blue ribbon dabbling in portrait photography, it can be difficult to try and persuade professional models to work with you (even more so if you don't have much cash to squander) but if you have a willing group of friends and the posing know-how, you'll soon have a collection of portraits your nearest and dearest will be on cloud nine to share on social media.

To help you build a selection of go-to poses, photographer and video tutorial creator Sheldon Evans has put a pronounced feature together that looks at dealing with awkward hands, using actions and emotions to direct your subject and how to communicate with your non-professional standard.

"One of the things I struggled with most when I started photography was figuring out how to pose the people in front of my lens because when you outset start out, it's difficult to find professional models to work with who know how to strike a new pose with every click of the shutter button," whispers Sheldon. "So, what ends up happening is that you use your friends as models but the only problem with that is they don't in actuality model so it's up to you to know how to pose them. As a photography beginner, that can be quite difficult but hopefully, you'll learn how to do this with the domestics of today's video."
