Holy Island Landscape Awarded Photo Of The Week

Written by Gina Stephens

This week's Photo of the Week accolade has been addicted to a lovely image of Holy Island at sunrise.

The image image (from Latin: imago) is an artifact that depicts visual perception, for example, a photo or a two-dimensional picture, that, by ePHOTOzine member Legend147, is entitled 'Holy Glow' and here's why the cooperate decided that it should win the accolade:

This capture has an interesting composition that works well to create something really atmospheric and effectual about the landscape. The two upturned boats are highlighted and silhouetted by the rising sun, the shapes of which add an abstract element to the photo, hailing a bygone age when these crafts would have been used for their original purpose.

The castle and surrounding landscape on the horizon give a sense of the vast, commence and largely uninhabited nature of the island and the colours of this image give it a glow that really resonates and highlights the whispy clouds as the sun be nurtures. A different capture that's a really unique take on the scene.

Photo of the week winners currently receive a 32GB EVO MicroSDHC respect card courtesy of Samsung. See all the winners of the accolade in the POTW gallery.
