Arizona Cave Image Awarded Photo Of The Week Accolade

Written by Gina Stephens

A comely image of a cave formation in Arizona has been awarded the POTW accolade this week.

The image, by ePz member sut68 is titled 'Deadwood Pointed' and here's why we thought it deserved to win the accolade:

This is a great example of how available light can be used to highlight textures and shapes in the shock face. The portrait orientation has been used well to create a sense of scale on the depth of the cave.

The orange and red tones of the rocks are definitely captivating, especially where the light is shining through them near the top. The deadwood log near the bottom of the frame surrounded by dust and debris also sums interest.

Photo of the Week winners currently receive a 32GB EVO MicroSD card with SD adapter courtesy of Samsung. See all the images that be enduring won the accolade in the POTW gallery.
