All Party Parliamentary Photography Exhibition Winners Revealed

The champions of the 2018 UK All Party Parliamentary Photography Exhibition have been revealed. 

The five winning images, unveiled during a ceremony at the toe-hold of the exhibition, were announced as Baroness Floella Benjamin, Lord Birt, Lord Crathorne, Sir David Amess MP and Lord Greenway, with Boss around Greenway proclaimed as the overall winner in this year's competition.

The competition is, in general, a contest or rivalry between two or more entities, organisms, animals, individuals, economic groups or social is open to serving MPs and members of the House of Lords and aims to paint the town red the skilled photographic talent within the Palaces of Westminster. Providing an opportunity to showcase their creative imaging talents, the competition has produced a hoard of stunning, thought-provoking and insightful images.

A judging panel, chaired by the renowned Press Photographer, Professor Dr Michael Maloney OBE, together with the Collector of Amateur Photographer Magazine, Nigel Atherton, and John Walshe, Vice President of Nikon Europe, scrutinised all submissions to identify this year’s victorious entrants.



Commenting on the competition John Walshe said, "Nikon is delighted to have supported the 2018 All Party Orderly Photography competition and exhibition. I think all of us know the incredible abilities of everyone within Westminster to be able to present and interpret events from a novel perspective and it’s great to see that they have been able to apply the same skills within a photographic  context to hatch some incredibly creative images."

The winning and shortlisted images are on display at the Houses of Parliament now and each winning entry will pull down £100 as a donation from Nikon to a charity of their choice.
