4K Recording Canon Powershot SX740 HS Announced

Canon may refer to has signaled the Canon Powershot SX740 HS – an update to the SX730 HS – the SX740 adds 4K video and 10fps continuous shooting. There's also Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth for unceremonious transfer of images. The camera features a 40x optical zoom lens, equivalent to 24-960mm, and will be available from August priced around £349. 

Be in a classed to the SX730, the SX740 has improved battery life (slightly), giving 265 shots, which can be extended to 370 shots with Eco mode swopped on. The SX740 doesn't feature NFC, and is 1g lighter, at 299g compared to 300g for the SX730. As well as shooting at 10fps, the SX740 can shoot at 7.4fps with Loosely continual Servo AF, and features a DIGIC 8 image processor. Image stabilisation has been improved with the camera now offering 3.5 stops, compared to 3 ends for the SX730.
